Pop-art nails by @glamournailart
My pop-art nails !!!
I really enjoyed making these, aspecially the eye (wich is totally freehand, just as the rest of the mani)
I put a lot of work in it to make it look really ‘pop-art like’ and I’m very happy with the result. 🙂
I used different polish and color for every nail.
The blue and yellow are from MAX, a cheap brand but it gives a very opaque effect, even after 1 coat.
The red is from SoMe, really love the ‘red-red’ color it has. It’s also very smooth to apply.
The green is from the Maybelline ‘Bleached Neons’ collection. Pretty color, that gives a bit of matte effect without topcoat.
This mani was a part of the ‘bestie twin nails’ I did on instagram http://instagram.com/glamournailart

Mine are on top and on the bottom you see the mani of the sweet @sezies_nails http://instagram.com/sezies_nails

The great thing is you can all have this stunning custom made buttons !!!
They were made specially for me by the amazing Sara from http://lovelowbudget.nl
You should go check out her page, she has great tips about low budget shopping (who doesn’t love great stuff for little money) 😉 and a page ‘ontwerpen’ (Dutch for designs) were you can ask her to make buttons or a wordpress theme for you
She’s great at it, so where are you waiting for, go follow her !!!!!
Sweet little flower nails made by @glamournailart
🌼🌼 Sweet little flowers 🌼🌼
When I was on the instagram page of @lynieczka http://instagram.com/lynieczka I just fell in love with all her great designs and tutorials.
So I wanted to recreate one of her beautiful designs and give it a bit of my own
touch 😉 😉
So here it is 🌼🌼🌼 I really enjoyed making this delicate mani 💕💕
For both greens I used Catrice polish.
The light, mint green is ‘Minter Wonderland’ and the dark green on the ringfinger is ‘Huge Moss’
Both smooth polishes with a big brush. I applied 2 coats to get the effect on the picture.
I handpainted the little white flowers 🌼🌼🌼 using Sally Hansen ‘White Out’ and dotting tools.
I will tell you more about the dotting tools I’m using in a next post 🙂 so keep posted 😉 😉 😉
Skull nails by @glamournailart
My skull nails for #nailartchallengejuly
I used Catrice ‘Black to Gold’ and added O.P.I ‘Gold Shatter’ and a stud on my pointer.
On the other fingers I placed skull stickers by ElegantTouch UK http://eleganttouch.com
On my middlefinger I added some extra studs 😉
These are NO nailwraps, only the skulls are stickers. The background is regular polish.
Normally I don’t use a lot of stickers but just saw these in the store and thought they were perfect for the skull theme for the challenge I’m hosting (with a friend) on Instagram http://instagram.com/glamournailart
Blue nailart by @glamournailart
💙🌻💙🌻💙 Blue 💙🌻💙🌻💙
For the blue pointer and pinkie I used Catrice ‘Shopping Day At Bluemingdales’ 💙
I also added some studs.
For the middle – and ringfinger I used
Sally Hansen ‘White Out’ and added blue🌻 and yellow 🌻flowers using a dotting tool 💙
Let me know what you think about this mani ☺☺
Totally in love with how this mani matches the 🐒🐒 lemur 🐒🐒 I made using loombands 💙💖💙💖
I used Rimmel ‘Fizzy Applelicious’ 🍏🍏🍏 texture polish for the background.
For the flowers I used MUA ‘Bold Blue’ and Sally Hansen ‘Peach Beach’
Review of the polish I used
Rimmel Sweetie Crush ‘Fizzy Applelicious’ 🍏
A very beautiful polish. When I saw this cute color in the store I totally wanted to have it ;);)
It has a nice brush, that applies very well. It’s not a real texture polish because the texture is very subtle. You see it but when you touch it it feels more smooth than other texture polishes.
You have to apply 2 or 3 coats to get the color in the bottle.
I solved this by using a white coat under this polish. That gives a great effect.
MUA ‘Bold Blue’
This polish has a thin and elegant brush. Smooth polish but only after using 3 or 4 coats you get the color of the bottle.
For painting the flowers this was a great polish. I used a dottingtool to apply the polish, so for the flowers 1 coat was enough ☺
Sally Hansen ‘Peach Beach’
I totally love all the polish by Sally Hansen cause it has a great formula and it stays on your nails for about a week without chipping 👍 👍 👍
One coat is enough to get the color from the bottle.
I also used a dottingtool to paint this color of flowers 🌸🌸🌸🌸
